Getting to Vang Vieng
Vang Vieng is a quaint town located 165 km/ 400 km north of Vientiane, on the road towards Luang Prabang. The overland driving journey can be start from both Vientiane and either Luang Prabang
It takes three to five hours to reach Vang Vieng by bus or car from Luang Prabang (185 km and three hours with the “new road”, 230 km and five hours with the “old road”), and about three hours from Vientiane (160 km).
Driving from Vientiane - Direction
Take route 13 in the direction of Luang Prabang and drive for about 160 kilometers. Go through the “Welcome to Vang Vieng “ gate that marks the entrance to Vang Vieng, and make a left immediately before the gas station.

Driving from Luang Prabang - Direction
There are two ways to go from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng. The “old road” and the “new road”. The “new road” is a shortcut but it is sometimes subjected to mudslides that can make it impracticable some days during the rainy season.
The “old road” is simply route 13 all the way to Vang Vieng.
To take the “new road”, start on route 13 towards Vientiane. When you reach Xiang Ngeun, about 24 kilometres from Luang Prabang, make a right turn to take route 4. This scenic, 107-kilometer road, connects back to route 13 at Kasi. Vang Vieng is about 57 kilometres from Kasi. Go through the main center of Vang Vieng where you will see a market and a bus station of Vang Vieng

+ Vehicles are new with air-conditioning chauffeured by experienced drivers
+ Transfer prices are included road fees, taxes and service charge.
Preferens:
+ Pick-up from Vientiane to Vang Vieng should take place from 8:00 AM to noon
+ Pick-up from Vang Vieng to Vientiane should take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
+ Pick-up from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng should take place from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
+ Pick-up from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang should take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Extras:
+ An extra charge will apply for early or late pick-up, subject to prior agreement with the Resort: transfers should only occur during daytime for safety reasons
